It's possible you might find some people who went unbeaten over seven bets this week, it's even possible that a few are telling the truth, but if you find someone who did it while publishing their picks well ahead of the games you probably should follow them. It's definitely an opinion you want to have before betting your money. Let's try and cap it off with a win tonite.

This is a big, big spread. One of the biggest we've ever seen this century. It has something to do with the Pats vying for a Super Bowl appearance while the Chiefs languish in the cellar. Bill Belichick's mystique doesn't hurt either. Anyway, The GRIDLINE computer doesn't see any of that. It doesn't even know what the records are. What our computer sees is an excellent passing attack going up against a weak pass D versus a rushing team that faces a strong run defense. Put the Pats at home and you've got the ingredients for a rout.

This was a Best Bet when the forecast came out but since then the spread has skyrocketed. We've often said you can't predict a rout but both GRIDLINE and Vegas are doing it. Let's make a minimum play here.

With Vick out the game falls squarely on the shoulders of Vince Young ... or does it? We hope Vince throws some darters but the best kept secret in the league is the Eagles top ranked run game. They're going up against an average at best Giants run D, one that can admittedly play well at home. As quick as Vick is, the running game may actually benefit from having Young under center.

We're relyng on that Philly rushing attack but we realize that as Eli goes, so go the Giants. He threw some of the best passes we've ever seen last week. That was under perfect conditions but we may see some rain in the 2nd half and we'll see if Manning is as good with a slicker, heavier ball.

If the Eagles get their heads right, it could go down to the wire. Call it a minimum play on the visiting dogs.

Carolina has to take one of the worst defenses in footall onto Ford field to face the pass happy Detroit Lions. If the Lions are concentrating they should score well above the league average. The Pants have a good offense but we don't see any consistency going up against the no. 4 pass D in the NFL. The Pants can run the ball against this team but playing in Detroit should mean they'll need some critical completions to keep those drives going. The Lions like to control the ball, ranking 2nd in time of possession while the Pants are 20th.

These are two of the teams that forgot they had a game last week. Maybe the Lions will show up at home, but who knows, they both might take the week off again. Yeah, we're mad, but we try to be forgiving, too. Let's make a lite play on the home favorite.

These two are not going to threaten the league leaders anytime soon, but they do have the ingredients of good defense in the coming years. With the Jags ranked 4th and the Browns 8th, you could say those Ds are way ahead of the Os. We are a little worried about the Jags running game scoring, and crazy things happen when losing teams meet, but we really don't see where the points are going to come from. Here's hoping both teams can hang onto the ball. One chip for UNDER on a low Total.

These are two teams that are mirror images of each other. Really good defenses with offenses that play it close to the vest, waiting for a turnover. The Ravens should win at home - they haven't lost there all season - but keep in mind that the Bengals haven't lost to the spread on the road all season. It should be a great game to watch. Make it a minimum play on the road doggies.

Once again, it looks like 'Frisco will be able to do their thing against a relatively weak Cardinal defense that is 21st against the run and 24th against the pass. It's a D that has trouble getting off the field. That can spell disaster against a foe that is 7th rushing and 9th in time of possession. The thing is, 'Frisco doesn't care about generating a lot of points ("20 is just fine, thank you"). That means we're real vulnerable to a late consolation TD or one of those crazy kick returns, and if Skelton plays like Manning did last week you can kiss this one good-bye. We like it when the system covers large spreads but man, those are a lot of points. Let's call it a lite play on a home favorite.

We can't really say Chi-town will outgain the Chargers. We can say that Philip Rivers faces a tall order in Chicago because of his defense. It's not really his fault. There's just too much pressure on an offense to score when your D is basically nonexistant. We've got to buy this one down to 3 so it's a toughie at 13 to 10. Here's to hoping for a healthy home field advantage.

That's it for the day games. We should be back at Six on Sunday for the nite game. If you want a sneak peek, you can pull up our forecast from the menu. Keep in mind, we've been know to play Teasers, Parlays, Totals and/or Moneylines in the past, as well as Sides. Right now, we have no idea what we're gonna play, or how much we'll risk. See you tomorrow!

Broncos +6
Broncos 23 Jets 23
Computer Generated BEST BET

HIT: Broncos 17 Jets 13
Aside from New York's loss to the Patriots, these are two of the hottest teams in the NFL. Before their loss, the Jets knocked off the Fins, Chargers, and Bills and the Broncos dealt with the Raiders and Chiefs. Despite these teams' mediocre records, there might be some good football played at Mile High tonite.

The Jets feature a not-so-bad offense going up against a getting-better defense. The real key is the Broncs running game. It's ranked 3rd for the season and over the last four weeks it's the best in the league. With a run game like that you don't need a great passer, which Tebow is not, you just have to find an open receiver. Sanchez is only a little better at passing than Tebow is, but he may have to rely on the air game much more, especially if Denver's defense plays well at home.

We're a little shell-shocked from last week's games so we'll just slide one chip up there on a minimum play. This game looks good but given the number of NO SHOWs this year we're skittish of betting teams with losing records, and Denver was a NO SHOW against Detroit earlier this season.

Good Luck Everyone!
