We're off to a good start in 2016, even if it may be a little slow. We always start slow while we wait for the system to kick in. We generally are happy if we just hold our own until that happens, so being ahead makes us ecstatic at this point in the season. The last couple of plays were pretty nice, although we may have been taking advantage of a Chicago team that hasn't learned to play a complete game yet. It's hard to believe the Eagles have been getting points, they are playing the best ball in the league right now. And that kid in Dallas, Prescott, plays with an eye on the goal line, just like a QB should.

The Saints are our local boys, and while we like to think we love all teams equally - they're our children - we're well aware that bias can seep in. We want to take the home team because we feel that these two are equally matched, and the Home Field Advantage is due for a correction. After two weeks it was way low. Every year it ends up over 6%, but this year only 1 game out of the 1st 32 needed to be reversed to have no HFA at all. We hate to be trendy, but we feel a correction is due. FWIW, we did a sneak preview at the early season numbers and the system has the Saints winning 32-27

This is going to be a wild and wooly game. Touchdowns should be cheap tonite. There are going to be a few flash TDs (returns, broken plays), and the team with the most will beat the spread. We're hoping the home team wins the flash TD war. .

We are still playing by our intuition as we await a representative sample of statistics, and our intuition yells DALLAS, tonite. We do like the Prescott kid. We have ever since his early days at Mississippi St., where he helped transform one of the weaker SEC teams into a national powerhouse. The most important thing for a rookie QB is to be fearless, and where fear resides in many QBs, Prescott has craftiness. Absent any hard numbers, we'll bet on that.

We want to be careful because it's a lot of points, and because we can't really call Hoyer a step down from Cutler. He can play a good game. We hate to say it, but sometimes injuries force a coach into doing the right thing.

Good Luck Everyone!
